10:30 - 11:15 Miller Hall 3 - Samovar for Beginners (Charles, Laurie, & Anais Dawson)
This will be a hands-on workshop to experience tea made with a samovar in a variety of
different ways, focusing on traditions of Russia and Eastern Europe. This is a class for those
new to samovars and is appropriate for all ages and experience levels.

Charles, Laurie, & Anais Dawson, founders of Whatcom Tea, have been sharing their knowledge and love of tea for over 20 years. As professionals of the tea community, they are consultants and provide educational learning opportunities throughout the United States and abroad. As part of their mission of making tea accessible, affordable, and fun; they recreate world tea experiences in fun and unexpected ways.
